Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

21/05/25

1. Introduction

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement relates to actions and activities during the financial year 1st January 2025 to 31st December 2025.

At BM&T European Restructuring Solutions Limited (BM&T), we are committed to promoting ethical business practices and ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place within our operations or supply chains.

Although we are not legally required to publish a Modern Slavery Statement under the United Kingdom's Modern Slavery Act 2015 due to our size and turnover being below the £36 million threshold, we believe that addressing these critical issues is a fundamental part of our responsibility as a conscientious and purpose-driven organisation.

By voluntarily adopting the principles of the Modern Slavery Act, we aim to:

  • enhance transparency within our operations and supply chains
  • demonstrate our commitment to upholding human rights and combating exploitation
  • support global efforts to eradicate modern slavery and human trafficking in all its forms.

This statement reflects our dedication to embedding ethical practices throughout our business, regardless of statutory obligations, and to continually improving our processes to ensure fairness, respect and integrity in all we do.

The statement sets down BM&T’s commitment to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our business activities and the steps we have put in place with the aim of ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our own business and supply chains. We all have a duty to be alert to risks, however small. Staff are expected to report on their concerns and management to act upon them.

1.1 This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that BM&T has taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our supply chains or any part of our business.

1.2 Modern slavery is a crime resulting in abhorrent abuse of human rights. It is constituted in the Modern Slavery Act 2015 by the offences of ‘slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour’ and ‘human trafficking’.
